Short-Term Running Goals:
Get healthy, run pain-free. Have had sciatic nerve issues since 2009, damaged knee cartilage early 2015, so have been a jogger for a while.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Do well in the 50s age group, keep running pain-free.
Married, science writer/editor, enjoy life on the coast of Maine
Bit of a grind, but got it done. 52 minutes plus a little change, so quite slow overall but a bit faster by the end.
Didn't want to slog again, so ran 16 minute warmup then 8 x 1:00 faster (7.9-8.6) and 1:00 recovery (6.8). Felt pretty hard but got it done.
