Short-Term Running Goals:
Get healthy, run pain-free. Have had sciatic nerve issues since 2009, damaged knee cartilage early 2015, so have been a jogger for a while.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Do well in the 50s age group, keep running pain-free.
Married, science writer/editor, enjoy life on the coast of Maine
Superintendent's challenge at Kebo.
Ran 16 minutes gradual warmup, then 8 x 1:00 hard, 1:00 easy. Didn't push it too hard, and went 8 mph -> 8.7 - felt easier as I went along. Good to move the legs a little faster. At home on mill.
Ran a SH path run with legs dipped in concrete. Can't believe how slow and stiff I felt.
2x wimp weights, 15 minute spin bike, 10 minute row. Getting my cross-training on. Wanted to forget my upper body existed, but oh well.
Felt like death on a cracker but slogged out 3 miles on the mill.
Peloton 30 minutes and golf with Erik in the afternoon.
