Short-Term Running Goals:
Get healthy, run pain-free. Have had sciatic nerve issues since 2009, damaged knee cartilage early 2015, so have been a jogger for a while.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Do well in the 50s age group, keep running pain-free.
Married, science writer/editor, enjoy life on the coast of Maine
Got out there this morning, ran WHP from HC with PH loop added. Started slow up the steep hill then get it to sub 8:00 for the final three miles. What used to be recovery felt like tempo, but I have to start somewhere.
Starting to feel a little more like a runner. A little. Nice warm run with Shannon after work. Need to find people to run with again--it helps!
15 minutes rowing, 15 minutes elliptical
Nice day, easy SH. Achilles are a little cranky so will need to make sure they hang with me as I up mileage.
Just hiking around the golf course.
Surprise double-digit run in VT, just kept up with Courtney and was able to make it to the end. Averaged 8:45s so no big speed but happy and came through OK.
